From 10–12 September, Compagniesdrift proudly took part in CapeWine 2025, South Africa’s premier international wine showcase, hosted at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. As part of the South Africa Wine stand featuring fellow black-owned brands, we stood alongside some of the country’s most dynamic producers, presenting our wines to a truly global audience of importers, distributors, sommeliers and media.

This year’s CapeWine welcomed more than 1 600 delegates from over 60 countries, and the energy was palpable. The show has been praised as a resounding success, reinforcing South Africa’s reputation as a world-class wine producer and giving brands like ours the chance to tell our stories on an international stage.

For us, it was an opportunity to showcase our multi award-winning Compagniesdrift Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot, Compagniesdrift Chardonnay, and Compagniesdrift Rosé. Each wine reflects our dedication to quality, balance and approachability, values that resonated strongly with those who visited our stand.

Engaging directly with international trade partners gave us invaluable feedback and opened the door to exciting new opportunities. These conversations not only strengthened existing relationships but also laid the groundwork for expanding our reach into new markets.

CapeWine 2025 reaffirmed for us that Compagniesdrift is ready to stand tall among the best, representing not just our farm and community but also the broader excellence of South African wine. We return from the event energised, inspired, and more confident than ever in our ability to compete on the global stage.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported us, visited our stand, and shared in this milestone. The connections made and enthusiasm shown will continue to inspire our work long after the last glass has been poured.

Here’s to carrying the momentum of CapeWine 2025 forward, and to raising a glass of Compagniesdrift wherever in the world good wine is celebrated.
